Hello Hampton Families,
Baseball season is nearly here!
Just over three weeks until April 1 and the official start of the season. A quick note: opening ceremonies will be held on Sunday, April 13. It’s going to be an important one for the park as we look to recognize our 70th year of operation for Hampton Little League!
Thanks to everyone in Majors, Minors and Rookie Minors who have gone out for an assessment. Kids are shaking off the winter rust and they are going great.
We have a few more times next week and if your son/daughter is registered for one of those divisions (Majors, Minors or Rookies) and has not signed up to be assessed – please register. Assessments are a mandatory part of the season and ensures your child is placed in the correct division and helps us determine the number of coaches needed for each division. On that note – if you are willing to be a head coach in Rookie Minors or Mini Minors this year – please let us know soon! We need a few more coaches to step up. Reply to this email if you are interested.

Umpire Clinics
Little Leagues around Victoria will be hosting umpire clinics soon for those young players interested in being an umpire this season and making a little extra cash for the concession.
This is a great first job for many Hampton players.
To umpire, players must be at least 8 years old and playing in the Minors division or higher. No experience is required.
Players should register for an upcoming clinic corresponding to their age.
Ages 11+ March 29, 845 am to 330 pm at Beacon Hill Hollywood Park
Ages 9 and 10 – April 5, 9am to 1 pm at Hampton Park.

Concession Clean Up
Thanks to everyone who came and helped clean up the concession this past Wednesday. Hotdogs, burgers and those world famous candy bags are being prepared and we will be ready to open the doors in the community for another great season at the Grill next month.
Website Revamp
Hampton is getting a new website! We have worked with TeamSnap to build the new site. This website will allow us to better integrate registration and the park calendar from existing the TeamSnap system we already currently use. It will also help streamline the info parents and coaches need.
