Hampton to Host 2021 Major Softball Canadian Championship this Summer

Hampton is pleased to confirm we will be hosting the 2021 Major Softball Canadian Championship this summer.

We are excited to support the many skilled and passionate softball players in Victoria by bringing this top level opportunity to our local Victoria Softball Community. The winning team from this tournament will represent Canada at the Little League World Series in Greenville, North Carolina August 11-18.

This host role at Hampton follows a successful 2020 summer softball season in which our players had the opportunity to practice with a variety of World Series alumni coaches and players while following all covid safety regulations.

All eligible 2021 regular season softball players aged 10-12 yrs will have the opportunity to try-out for the tournament team. The team is expected to be named in June.

We are hoping for the best as far as the covid recovery goes in BC and across the country, while acknowledging that there are many unknowns this year. Keeping all players safe and protected is a top priority.

Dates for the tournament will be confirmed shortly following consultation with Little League Canada and Little League International. Generally, the time frame is early August 2021.

Hampton and Layritz continue to explore opportunities to host the Junior and Senior Softball Division Canadian Championships for 2021.
