If you love spending your spare time at Hampton and you want to learn more about baseball, consider signing up to be an umpire! All players 10 years and older are eligible to apply to be an umpire this season.
Umpires must attend training.
April 6 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Layritz
- Mandatory for all first time umpires and those looking for a refresher.
- Training includes base and plate mechanics and protocol.
- Bring a lunch and refreshments.
- Bring clothing appropriate for weather.
April 7 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Lakehill (Ambassador Park)
- Inclusive for all umpires wanting to know more about the rules (old and new for 2019).
