The Victoria Capitals is an extension of the Little League program.
Players from Hampton join forces with other local Little League clubs to form the South Victoria Capitals. This program was created so players can remain in their local parks playing fun competitive baseball.
New this year: all home games for the South Victoria Capitals will be played at the spectacular Royal Athletic Park! The Capitals will play against local teams, teams from up island, the mainland, and quite possibly from Seattle and Port Angeles.
The Victoria Capitals offers
• high quality coaching
• training with ex-college players (up to 7.5 hrs)
• low registration fee of $150 to play for 11 weeks
• practice twice a week
• play 1-2 games per week
• local tournaments
Spring baseball (April through mid June)
All players, regardless of ability or level of experience, play together.
Tournament baseball (June through July/August)
Assessments are done for those wishing to play tournament baseball. Victoria teams receive an automatic bye into provincials. If the team wins at provincials, there is a Canadian Championship and World Series for each age group.
Little League Victoria offers programs for ages 12-16 in three age groups:
11-13 yr olds (Intermediate): 50’ pitch, 70’ base path, full leadoffs, and stealing
12-14 yr olds (Junior): 54’ pitch, 80’ base path, full leadoffs, and stealing
14-16 yr olds (Senior): 60.5’ pitch, 90’ base path, full leadoffs, and stealing
